Montriond is a village located right next to Morzine, in the Vallée d'Aulps. The village is ideal for a holiday home or even for a permanent home as numerous shops are situated around it, as well as restaurants, hotels and other services.
  In the holiday season, the village is a bit less quiet than usual due to a number of attractions and activities. A bus stops in the center of the village and stops in all the neighboring villages. From the top of the village the views on Morzine and the mountains around it are magnificent.
In the summer, the Montriond lake is located not far from the center of the village and it is a sight to see in the valley. The lake is a beautiful place where you can do walks, go biking, hiking, ride ponies and practice a few water activities.
  In the winter this location is one of the most attractive in the valley, the closest ski slopes are the ones in Morzine (Le Pléney) at about 5 minutes away by car, and the access to the Avoriaz lifts are instant as the télécabine d'Ardent are within the village. It is possible to access the other ski resorts from the Pléney. All of these resorts are also part of the Portes du Soleil which opens onto Switzerland with a total of 650km   of ski slopes.
The Geneva airport is about 1h30 away by car.
