  La Vernaz is a lovely village located near the start of the Vallée d'Aulps, in between Thonon les Bains and Morzine, in between Bioge and La Baume to be precise. It offers Beautiful views on the mountains around it, and in some areas, views in the direction of Lake Geneva. A primary school is located in the center of the village. The closest shop and restaurants are situated in Saint Jean d'Aulps. If you are looking for a quiet corner for a holiday home or even a permanent home, La Vernaz is perfect for you !
  In the winter, the closest ski slopes are the ones in Saint Jean d'Aulps (Le Roc d'Enfer) at about 15-20 minutes away by car or the ones in Morzine (Le Pléney) that are about 20-25 minutes away by car. The ski resorts of Avoriaz and Les Gets are accessible from Morzine. Each of these resorts are part of the Portes du Soleil (650km of ski slopes) which opens up onto Switzerland.
  In the summer, it is possible to get to the beaches of Lake Geneva in 20 minutes by car which is ideal for a day of walking around or for going swimming. The Lac de Montriond also offers great possibilities for going on walks. It is located 15 minutes away by car.
  The Geneva airport is located only 1h10 minutes away by car.
