Pralognan la Vanoise is a beautiful mountain village halfway between the 3 Valleys ski resort and Paradiski. However, it is itself a ski resort and has ample slopes to keep the whole family busy, although it couldn’t be simpler to go skiing in the bigger more famous resorts. It is just 15 minutes to Champagny from where there is access to Paradiski and 40 minutes to Courchevel for skiing in the 3 Valleys. Summer activities include walking, which is very popular, horse-riding, mountain biking and much more.
The resort has tennis courts, an ice rink, a swimming pool, a cinema and a multitude of bars and restaurants. It also has lots of shops and hosts a lovely market twice a week all year round. In fact, most of the residents in the village live there all year.
Due to the popularity of the alpine resorts, getting to the village from the U.K. is very straightforward. There are buses provided four times a day from Geneva airport, Chambery airport is an hour away and Grenoble and Lyon airports are also easy to get to.
