Property Description
This is a lovely stone and wood barn in need of full renovation. Very unusual shape absolutely rare. It is in a hamlet between St Jean de Belleville and St Martin de Belleville in the 3 Valleys ski domain. Easy access to Val Thorens.
The barn has approximately 100 m² of potential living space including space above 1.8m high in the mezzanine, plus space under 1.8m high.
Parking will have to be made in the barn but there is space to make the 2 spaces required – though it will mean quite substantial work
Needs electrics – water and waste drainage that are close but not on the premises.
It is in an extremely sunny spot with fabulous views.
St Martin de Belleville is a traditional Savoyard village with wood and stone buildings, a church that is floodlit at night and a small square. From the village there is an eight-person gondola, which provides a direct link to the ridge that overlooks the valley of Méribel on one side and Les Menuires and Val Thorens on the other.
The village has a number of bars and restaurants and a couple of nightspots as well as a more sedate piano bar.
The TGV station is in Moûtiers from where the “snow train” takes about 45 minutes to reach the village. The nearest international airports are just over 2 hours away in Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble. The seasonal airport in Chambéry is an hour’s ride away, as is the motorway.
